Campaign Giveaway #3 | For the Traveler

Two weeks down, three to go!

(Don’t forget, I’ll be announcing the winner of last week’s giveaway this Wednesday!)

travel

Inspired by my trip to FL last month, I wanted to give the gift of a pleasant travel experience to one lucky blog reader this week. While I truly cannot gaurantee a pleasant travel experience for anyone, I am happy to help contribute to one as much as possible. :)

This week’s prize is a lovely travel kit that I secretly want to keep all for myself. Here’s what is included:

  • A carry-on travel bag complete with a quart-sized baggy with airline standard bottles for an easy weekend getaway luggage set.
  • One travel neck pillow.
  • One travel eye shade.
  • Two “Pocket Posh Puzzle” books. These are the most adorable little puzzle books sure to keep you entertained on a long flight.
  • One $15 iTunes gift card so you can load your ipod with new tunes for your trip.
  • One $25 Barnes & Noble gift card so you can buy a new novel for your trip if the puzzle books aren’t quite up your alley.

What fun!! I am excited to give this set away to a lucky blog reader! To enter this giveaway, all you have to do is leave a comment with your answer to this question: If you could travel anywhere in the world for a week vacation, where would you go? Why?

You can also gain other entries simply by sharing this contest in your RSS Reader, Google Buzz, on Facebook, Twitter, or blog about it on your blog. For every time you share about the contest, come back and leave an additional comment on this entry letting me know! Each comment counts as one entry.

You have until midnight of Tuesday, February 23rd to enter as many times as you would like. Have fun and good luck!

I can’t wait to read your responses! I am LOVING getting to know my blog readers through these contests!

February 15, 2010 - 5:12 pm amanda - ooh so easy! seeing as i haven't had a vacation since the four kids came along i'd be really happy to just drive to gulf shores for a weekend getaway. doesn't need to be fancy, doesn't need to be far, just a little change of scenery! but if money were no object i'd go to california and spend a week in wine country.

February 15, 2010 - 5:13 pm amanda - i just tweeted :)

February 15, 2010 - 5:14 pm Emily G - I would travel to Europe, specifically to Great Britian, France & Italy. I have wanted to see these places for *so* long and I have relatives from each location. It would be so awesome to see some of the wonders of the world in person. :) -EmilyG.

February 15, 2010 - 5:26 pm Sarina Love - I would travel specifically to Salzburg, Austria just so I could take the silly Sound of Music tour. When I was young, I adored that movie and the scenery in that movie is so spectacular. I just want to go and see it for myself and sing along the way!

February 15, 2010 - 5:26 pm Meridith - Oooh, great gift package! With all this snow, somewhere warm would be nice: but I really want to go to Barcelona (which isn't any warmer this time of year). Between the amazing architecture and the incredible food, it sounds pretty perfect.

February 15, 2010 - 5:30 pm mauresa - How fun! I would travel to Sicily to visit my many relatives that I have never met who live there! I have been to Milan, Italy, but have always wanted to make my way down the "boot" and over to Sicily where my family hails from. :)

February 15, 2010 - 5:39 pm Melissa - This is such a great idea. If I could go anywhere, it would be a tour of all of Italy. I have always wanted to see Rome and Venice and spend the time with my husband in the beautiful and romantic country. I can only imagine one day we will be able to go.

February 15, 2010 - 5:52 pm Melissa - What a great idea! If I could go anywhere, I would want to do a tour of Italy with my husband. He has only ever left the US once for our honeymoon, and I have always wanted to go to Italy. I would love to see Rome and Venice and just soak in all the beauty Italy has to offer. Someday we will go.

February 15, 2010 - 5:56 pm Jennifer - What a thoughtful giveaway, and so generous! Right now, if I could, I would be headed to Vancouver to see the Olympics! But also it is a city I am dying to visit anyway!

February 15, 2010 - 6:41 pm Stephanie - Hey Liz! Hope you are doing well! (I'll have to update you on my current Army drama soon...) :D Only one week, huh? I would say, probably Bora Bora - the all inclusive kind - I only know about it because Ellen always features it on her show! And it's beautiful! And so are you! Miss & love you!!

February 15, 2010 - 6:49 pm Julie - Hands down, I'd got to Italy. No debate. I've had huge recommendations from my cousins who go there frequently, and say that it is so gorgeous, and such a relaxing culture. And it never hurts that I love wine and Italian food!!! If my husband were lucky, I'd take him! Ha! He's not as into travel as I am, but how could you resist such a trip?!? Enough babble! It's making me discontent. :)

February 16, 2010 - 10:43 am Ena - I would say going to Egypt!!! we planned last year to go there but we found out that I am pregnant! so still want to go there and do scuba diving at Red sea and visit pyramid!!

February 16, 2010 - 10:58 am Hollie - Ohhh there are SO many places that I want to visit! My #1 pick though is Fiji. My husband and I almost went there for our honeymoon, but we just couldn't get enough time off (the flight is VERY long). So, we went to Paris instead. I love to travel! I just don't get to do it as often as I'd like! :)

February 16, 2010 - 11:01 am Anna - This is tough to answer because we want to travel to so many places! Right now, we'd love to do a West Coast trip - that way my hubby can see a game at each of the west coast baseball stadiums and I can just enjoy the beautiful Oregon/California coastline. We'd also love to make our way up to Seattle since we've heard what a great city it is.

February 16, 2010 - 11:04 am Emilly Basalla - I would travel anywhere with someone that i love, however, the place that i want to visit the most, is Italy!

February 16, 2010 - 11:12 am elizabeth leeds - I would go back to Thailand... But I would bring Dave so I could show him all the things that he's heard me ramble on so much about.

February 16, 2010 - 11:43 am Amber B - Liz what a generous giveaway! I would travel back to Europe to Italy to share the trip with my husband and to take better pics with my new camera.

February 16, 2010 - 12:40 pm Lynda C - I cherish those days my kids and I traveled with my husband to "far away places"! Even though those places were within the US such as Utah, New Mexico, Colorado, Texas, Hawaii, Massachusetts, and California, the opportunities we had as a family to see the historical sites as well as drink in the culture were wonderful experiences! Our visits to the Hopi Mesas and the Caverns in New Mexico are most memorable! Being able to connect with the diverse people of these various states was thrilling and will live on forever in my memory and heart! I realize that not many people will have the opportunity to visit and learn the charm of the different cultures that live in these States. I am blessed to have had the chance to experience these trips to some of the "hidden" treasures of our Nation.

February 16, 2010 - 12:50 pm Lynda C - I thoroughly enjoy visiting and "traveling through" your site! That is one "trip" I look forward to each week! I am also so very proud to say that I knew Liz Sampson way back when! You are quite the entrepreneur and motivational speaker! You go, girl! I can't wait to explore your future photographic accomplishments on your site in the future! Your photographs and visitor's comments take me on a great vacation without leaving the comforts of my home!

February 16, 2010 - 3:15 pm Ashley - Ooh I'd take my husband to Rome, he's always wanted to go and I think it would be soo fun and exciting!

February 16, 2010 - 5:37 pm Shahanna - Posted on facebook...

February 16, 2010 - 7:06 pm Courtney - I have always wanted to go to the Canary Islands. We wanted to go there for our honeymoon but the cost of the trip was going to be too much so we went to England instead. One of these days though, I'll make it to those islands! 75-80 degrees year round? Yes please!

February 17, 2010 - 7:10 am Rachel Clarke - If I could go anywhere for a week it would be to GA to see my Grandma. I have expressed to Justin quite a bit that I miss her, so last week he put together a trip for me to go. I'll be flying out on the 10th to see her. ALONE, he's taking care of the kids for me too!! So this little travel kit would make this experience even more perfect. :)

February 17, 2010 - 9:07 am Tamara Mock - I would travel to Romania in for my sister's second wedding ceremony :)

February 17, 2010 - 1:43 pm Jo - Hi I'm from Scotland and used to visit the outlying islands every spring for a week of remote bliss. As a photographer, you'd love it - the clear air, crisp lighting, moody hills, sea views that change by the second. Oh, and the salty, green smell. I miss it! Now I live in New York and can't get back to visit. *sigh*

February 17, 2010 - 2:56 pm Savannah - If I could go anywhere in the world I would have to go back to Costa Rica with David. David and I went there for our first vacation together and he taught me how to surf. I would just love to go back and live in the moment again!

February 18, 2010 - 2:16 pm Jennifer Prince - World cruise, no doubt. I always say that I would go ANYWHERE, except somewhere that I could get shot. I LOVE to travel, and it is one of my favorite things to do. Love this giveaway, too ... such incredible stuff!!!! :)

February 19, 2010 - 2:23 pm Michelle - Our first grown up vaca since having kiddos was a week in Barbados. The whole time we were there we saw and did things that we knew our girls would have enjoyed. If I could go anywhere I would take our family to Barbados so our girls could swim with the sea turtles, snokel in the reef and go fishing.

February 22, 2010 - 2:23 pm Kate - If it were this week, I would go somewhere in the Caribbean. I've never been, but I am in awe of photos of the blue, blue water I've seen!!! ... and I'm really tired of cold weather. If it were a normal day, I would go back to Northern Ireland to visit hubby's relatives and dig up more info about my ancestors, but I'd make sure to leave a couple days to go into southern Ireland, which we haven't yet had a chance to do. If it was an adventurous-mood week, I'd go to Germany so my hubby could revisit the sites of fond memories from his Air Force days and I could see Germany b/c I've never been... and there are so many places there I want to see!

February 22, 2010 - 2:23 pm Kate - Just facebooked it! :)

February 22, 2010 - 4:24 pm Kriste Gerhard - Being a stay at home mom I don't have many opportunities to do for my husband as he does for us. If I could go away I would want to take my husband to Alaska, one of his life long dreams. Just to return the happiness he selflessly provides for our family.

February 22, 2010 - 5:20 pm Stephanie - I just realized how many people enter your giveaways, and how unlikely my odds were with just entering once! So, I posted you on Facebook. But, that's about all I do...so I guess entering twice is a little better than once!! Still want to go to Bora Bora (all expenses paid of course ;D)

February 22, 2010 - 6:12 pm Rachel - I want to take my children somewhere exciting! They are four and two and have never been anywhere like that. not exciting like none stop action, but exciting like, FAMILY togetherness!!! :) I'd love to go to Ireland/Scotland. I've never been to SouthEast Asia, so I'd LOVE to go there, but I'd probably go as a missionary... I've been on quite a few short term missions trips and want my family to get involved in missions together too! Anyway... this doesn't seem to be making any sense... so I suppose I'll stop. So, basically I LOVE to go, and I would go pretty much anywhere and why is for missions. :) Thank you for reading. :)

February 22, 2010 - 7:09 pm Christina - Have wanted to visit Switzerland. My first husband passed away and we had planned to go there, but gave the trip up to take our girls to Disney as a last memory for them with their dad. Have been blessed to remarry and would love to go there now with my second blessing! :O)

February 22, 2010 - 7:14 pm Jennifer Prince - Hmmm ... I see lots of my friends posted after I facebooked about it. Great for L&L, bad for competition's sake ... LOL!! :)

February 23, 2010 - 10:37 am Suzi Dove - If I could go anywhere in the world, I would definitely go back to Sicily. The people are amazing, the food is ridiculous and the scenary is to die for. I wish I'd had better photographic skills when I went because the place is a photographers dream. There is so much to see and the pace is so laid back that you can just people watch and be entertained for hours. Where else can you use a line from the Golden Girls like "Picture it.. Sicily..2010.." while watching an elderly women hang clothes on her balcony.

February 23, 2010 - 11:23 am Buddy - Oh, I would go to China in a heartbeat. In fact our family is going this summer to work in English camps so this would be an awesome gift to give my wife.

February 23, 2010 - 11:44 am Jennifer - I still want this. :) I would go ANYWHERE in the world. Anywhere, anywhere. :)

February 23, 2010 - 3:10 pm Kristi C - If I could travel anywhere in the world I would go to Australia. I could go from seeing the Great Barrier Reef to taking a safari. What fun it would be!

February 23, 2010 - 3:18 pm Courtney Moore - I would go to the Maldives because I have always wanted to go there ever since I was a little girl. It would be so cool to be on a remote island and just enjoy the sun and solitude.
