Today is a big day for me and my business. 
And what a better day than a Gratituesday to experience this and share it with you all!
This morning… dum dum dummmmm… I put in my notice to leave my full time job!! Beginning December 1st I will be a full time photographer and I couldn’t be more thrilled about it!! Ahhhhh this is a LONG time coming and I cannot wait for the flexibility I am going to have to spend time when and where I want to spend it. I am so excited to have MORE time to spend on my photography: practicing, playing and experimenting. And of course, finally having some time to shoot for me. It’s been a long time since I have gone out and shot just for myself.
Actually… on that note… last night I had an autumn themed outdoor boudoir (whew adjectives, maybe?) session that the lovely lady let me have free reign with. She spent the past few months brainstorming ideas for this session, considering the location and all the scenery changes we’d have. She covered all the looks: sweet and innocent, vintage, country, natural, etc. She accessorized accordingly, from headbands to shoes. I was in heaven. I was jumping around, pointing out new places to sit and lay and stand. She was up for ANYthing (including shivering while leaning against a chilly gravestone - no joke)! It was awesome.
I feel like my creativity mojo returned after I had been feeling a lull for a while. There’s a reason one-on-one sessions are some of my favorites! Here’s one of my fav’s from last night’s session, which also happens to be the very first shot I took while metering the light. Love it when that happens!
