Today is Tommy’s birthday!
I am grateful for my husband for many reasons but mostly because he teaches me to be a better person. He leads by example. He shows kindness, forgiveness, mercy and grace freely to those who need it. (Ummm, ME!) He teaches me how to not “sweat the small stuff,” and instead how to live life with a little less seriousness in my days. He is QUICK to forgive and eager to move on to living life happily and with contentment.
Oh, yes…. he also leads by his example of consistent (constant?) contentment. For those who know me personally, you know I struggle in this area quite a bit! It’s interesting to me that I happened to marry THE MOST content person in this world. Talk about God’s plan! 
So today I want to express my gratitude for a husband who not only has quite a few wonderful characteristics, but he also vaccuums, does our laundry, does the dishes and bathes our dogs regularly. Oh! And of course he takes out the trash, too. I don’t know what would get done around here if he weren’t here! (Actually that’s not true - he was gone for two months earlier this year and other than the dogs missing a meal every now and then everything was taken care of. I KID! I kid! Maybe. Maybe not. :))
